This keyboard case works great with the optional iPad case so you can mount it to things. It definitely adds a little weight and bulk to the iPad but is definitely worth it. I have both this keyboard and the Magic Keyboard from Apple and this hands down beats the Magic Keyboard not only for functionality but also for protection of the iPad. Another plus is that since it’s a Bluetooth keyboard, not one that runs off your iPad, it does not draw any unnecessary power from your iPad, causing the battery on your iPad to last drastically longer. The only downside is that you have to recharge the keyboard by itself, but since I have had it, I have not killed it yet and I use it quite often. When you aren’t using it, it will put itself into sleep mode so it doesn’t waste the keyboard’s battery. Overall, this is a great product.
