Unlike standard 115VAC/400Hz outlets, PIVOT POWER draws power directly from the aircraft’s 28VDC bus, minimizing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and maintaining compliance with DO-160, Section 21, Category H requirements for flight deck use.
The internal high-efficiency DC-DC converter (85%) delivers 10+ watts of stable charging power and includes overload and short-circuit current limiting. Each channel is protected by both a supply-side thermal fuse and a load-side fuse to safeguard against cable, device, or battery faults.
This triple-layer protection system ensures fail-safe operation before, during, and after USB-C power conversion.
