No. There are many different kinds of screen protection such as glare reduction, tinted or Night Vision compatible films, which are tied to a specific use environment. There is no “one size fits all” solution. PIVOT’s approach is to let the user decide as to what solution is right for their need.
Another factor also needs to be considered. Whenever a film is added, that film will have an impact on the battery life. In order to get the same amount of brightness from the tablet with a film on it, you must run the screen brighter which is one of the largest determinants of battery life. (1.1.1)

In most situations, having your tablet in a PIVOT case will actually be a benefit to its operation. Only a small percentage of the case actually touches the tablet body making the space between the case and the tablet an effective insulator.
If you are working in a non-air conditioned environment where the ambient temperature is excessively hot (+95F/35C), then the tablet is likely to overheat in any circumstance. Our recommendation is remove the tablet from being in direct sunlight and provide additional airflow to help disipate heat from the device.
Additionally, PIVOT does not offer anything that interacts or is compatible with an iPad cooling case with bulky fans which do not provide any real asset protection. Further, with PIVOT cases it is unlikely you will have overheating issue when mounted to an aircraft bubble canopy.
Most of our military bubble canopy customers use the gray PIVOT body on a window and/or kneeboard mount. We recommend the gray body for resistance to the radiant heat energy coming through the window. And the air pockets in the case back help insulate the iPad from direct heat transfer. There is very little direct case contact with the iPad so the air acts as insulators to greatly slow the heating process. The best defense against any iPad overheating is when you’re not actively using the tablet, it’s always better to move it away from the window. And because the PIVOT case is so simple to install and remove with one hand, moving it is no issue at all. Just a few minutes every now and then out of the light will make a lot of difference. Yes – The converter power plug’s motherboard provides conditioned power for two isolated USB daughter-board DC power modules. Transient protection is provided to the DC power modules by a TVS surge suppressor that is preceded by an inline fuse that will interrupt power in the event that the energy exceeds the surge suppressor. These components concurrently protect the iPad and charger from bus surges while provide additional fault protection to the aircraft from connection or internal faults.
Additionall, inside each power module, branch fuses protect the aircraft 28VDC bus from an internal fault in either power module. The fuses also protect the DC power modules from overvoltage or dangerous power source incompatibility. In the event of a fault, the fuse will blow and permanently disable the power available to one or both USB receptacles. These fuses are designed for severe fault conditions where normal operations have been exceeded and corrective action must be taken before the charging circuit can be re-energized. (3.4.1)
